 Latin America | small arms and light weapons (SALW) | harm to civilians - human rights

Natalia Báez Zamudio is an independent researcher and expert on legal firearms trafficking, serious human rights violations and militarization in Mexico. Formerly a researcher with the Mexican Commission for the Defense and Promotion of Human Rights, Báez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the Philipps-Universität Marburg and a Master’s Degree in International Relations and International Organization from the University of Groningen. She currently resides in Berlin where she graduated with a Master’s in Public Policy from the Hertie School in 2022.
