Aude-Emmanuelle Fleurant is an associated researcher at the Groupe de recherche et d'information sur la paix et la sécurité (GRIP). Before she left for Belgium, she was the Arms and Military Expenditure programme director at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (Sweden). In this position, she was responsible for ensuring that major SIPRI databases were published on time to the highest standard, as well the preparation of chapters of SIPRI Yearbook and fact-sheets, which she did for six years. She was also awarded projects in the context of calls for proposals. Prior to her position at SIPRI, she was director of the Armament and defence economy programme at the French ‘Institute de recherche de l’École militaire’ (The Military Academy Research Institute - France). In an earlier position - Technopole Defence and Security - she was mandated to follow opportunities for small and medium-sized technologies companies to be part of larger projects (Quebec City). She obtained her Ph.D at the University of Quebec in Montréal (Canada).
