Michael BloombergMichael Bloomberg was born in 1942. He graduated with a B.S. from Johns Hopkins University in 1964 and an MBA from Harvard in 1966 before entering the field of investment banking. In 1981 he founded the financial technology firm Innovative Market Systems, later Bloomberg L.P., and became a multibillionaire. He was mayor of New York City from 2002 to 2013. He has since been active as a philanthropist.
