Mark Bromley is Director of the Dual-Use and Arms Trade Control Programme at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). He was previously employed as a Senior Researcher in the SIPRI Arms Transfers Programme. Before joining SIPRI in 2003 he was a policy analyst for the British American Security Information Council (BASIC). Mark's work at SIPRI currently focuses on international arms transfers, governmental transparency in the field of arms exports, and the workings of national, regional and international strategic trade control regimes and instruments.

He holds a MA in War Studies from King’s College London. and a BA in Social and Political Sciences from St John’s College, Cambridge.
