Mark Bromley is a Senior Researcher with the Dual-Use and Arms Trade Control Programme at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and a Visiting Academic with the TC Beirne School of Law at the University of Queensland. He was previously employed as a Senior Researcher in the SIPRI Arms Transfers Programme. Before joining SIPRI in 2003 he was a policy analyst for the British American Security Information Council (BASIC). Mark's work at SIPRI currently focuses on international arms transfers, governmental transparency in the field of arms exports, and the workings of national, regional and international strategic trade control regimes and instruments.
He holds a PHD in International Relations from Stockholm University, an MA in War Studies from King’s College London, and a BA in Social and Political Sciences from St John’s College, Cambridge.
