Bruno Langeani advises, as a Manager, Instituto Sou da Paz’s research, monitoring, and advocacy projects related to arms control and police and criminal justice reform. He recently directed information gathering efforts at the São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro State Justice Courts regarding unlawful arrests and criminal sentencing. He worked closely with the São Paulo Military Police Commander to improve stop-and-frisk procedures and crowd management. He has done several projects related with profiling of firearms and ammunition, lifecycle and diversion of weapons and its impact on armed violence. He also recently conducted an evaluation of the Global Firearms Programme for UNODC.
Langeani obtained degrees in Law and International Relations from the Mackenzie and Catholic Universities of São Paulo and a Master Degree in Public Policy at the University of York (UK).
