May 13: In a visit to Saudi Arabia, President Trump announced a $142 billion defense sales agreement. According to a White House fact sheet: "The sales that we intend to complete fall into five broad categories: (1) air force advancement and space capabilities, (2) air and missile defense, (3) maritime and coastal security, (4) border security and land forces modernization, and (5) information and communication systems upgrades."
May 2: The Trump administration notified Congress of the potential sales to Saudi Arabia of $3.5 billion for 1,000 AIM-120C-8 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAMs).
