Sara Schmitt is concurrently an intern with the Forum on the Arms Trade, Arms Control Association, and Landmine and Cluster Munition Monitor. Schmitt will graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology in May 2019 with a B.S. in International Affairs and Modern Languages. Her linguistic foci are French and Egyptian Arabic, with an expected minor in Middle Eastern studies.
Professionally, Schmitt has served as Editor of Photography for the Georgia Tech newspaper The Technique. In 2016, she conducted research on global refugee migration and the plausible correlation to the frequency of terror attacks in impacted regions.
Sara returned in May from a semester abroad at SciencesPo in Paris, where she was involved in a student-run think tank focusing on refugee rights in Europe.
