Patrick Senft is an arms and munitions technical intelligence specialist and security analyst with a focus on current conflicts. His research encompasses the technology and use of cluster munitions, landmines, chemical weapons, and 3D-printed firearms, with his expertise extending to arms diversion, defence policy, and counterterrorism. 

Senft serves as the Research Coordinator at Armament Research Services (ARES), has a background in Physics, and holds a master’s degree in Crisis and Security Management from Leiden University. He is also an associate with the National Explosive Ordnance Disposal Association and a member of the German Atlantic Association.

Patrick Senft ist Spezialist für waffen- und munitionstechnische Aufklärung und Sicherheitsanalyst mit Schwerpunkt auf aktuellen Konflikten. Seine Forschung konzentriert sich sowohl auf die Technologie und den Einsatz von Streumunition, Landminen, chemischen Waffen und 3D-gedruckten Schusswaffen, sowie auf illegalen Waffenhandel, Sicherheitspolitik und Terrorismusbekämpfung.

Senft arbeitet als der Wissenschaftlicher Koordinator bei Armament Research Services (ARES), hat einen Hintergrund in Physik und einen Master-Abschluss in Krisen- und Sicherheitsmanagement von der Universität Leiden. Außerdem ist er Mitglied der National Explosive Ordnance Disposal Association und der Deutschen Atlantischen Gesellschaft.
