María del Carmen Sánchez Mora holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations, a Master's degree in Mexico–United States Studies from UNAM, and is currently pursuing a Master's in Intelligence for National Security at INAP. She completed the Cybersecurity Policy Course at the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C., as well as a National Security course at the Center for Advanced Naval Studies in Mexico.
Currently, she serves as Head of Intelligence and National Security at Carvajal-Gomez & Associates, and is also a member of the Amassuru Network of Women Experts in Security in Latin America.
Her professional experience includes consultancy work, academic lectures at institutions such as UNAM, Tecnológico de Monterrey, and Universidad Anáhuac, as well as participation in research stays abroad. She has contributed to panel discussions and interviews for media outlets including CNN and N+, and has published articles in journals such as Campo Marte, Revista de Relaciones Internacionales (FCPyS), and Revista ORBEM. Her research interests focus on Latin America, the United States, organized crime, national and public security, cybersecurity and cyber defense, and armed forces. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
