Middle East | harm to civilians - casualties, human rights, development
Kate Kizer is a leading progressive foreign policy expert, narrative strategist, and legislative advocate. Kizer was most recently the Policy Director at Win Without War, where she was a key leader in the fights to stop the Trump administration's worst national security impulses, and to push Democrats to adopt bold alternatives. At the forefront of the legislative strategy and grassroots organizing of the recent war powers and weapons sales fights in Congress, Kizer believes her work has helped lay the foundation for future transformational change in U.S. foreign policy.
Kizer received her B.A. in Middle Eastern and North African Studies from the University of California-Los Angeles, studied Arabic at the American University in Cairo, and has traveled extensively in Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, and Syria.
