Middle East | harm to civilians - casualties, human rights, development
Kate Kizer is a senior non-resident fellow at the Center for International Policy, and a leading progressive foreign policy strategist and writer. Kate has spent nearly a decade in Washington advancing prevention and peacebuilding alternatives to US security policies, with a particular focus on the confluence of human rights, corruption, conflict, and democratic change. She is a columnist at Inkstick Media, and regularly advises policymakers on issues related to US security assistance and conflict resolution.
Kate holds a BA in Middle Eastern & North African Studies from UCLA and a MA in Democracy & Governance from Georgetown University, and has traveled extensively in Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, and Syria.
