amelie namuroy (she/her) holds a bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies from Fordham University. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in English as well as a graduate certificate in Women's and Gender Studies at Villanova University. amelie is a human rights and social justice advocate with five years of programmatic non-profit experience with expertise in small arms control, small arms management and destruction, small arms diversion prevention, community violence prevention, gender-based violence prevention, gender-based violence, women's participation, and conflict prevention. She contributed to several publications, such as "Effective civil society engagement to inform and influence gender mainstreaming in small arms trafficking and misuse: the experience of IANSA," "Standing up against gun violence: tools for strategic advocacy," and "Strength in diversity: amplifying the voices of women campaigners against gun violence," among others. More recently, amelie co-wrote a factsheet with Callum Watson (Small Arms Survey) on Ending armed violence perpetrated against people on the basis of real or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or expression and sexual characteristics (SOGIESC) within the framework of the UNPoA.
